KL Rahul's miserable run with the bat is continuing with the bat in the ongoing Test series against Bangladesh as he failed to live up to the expectations and fell prey to Bangla pacer Khaled Ahmed once again in the second innings of the ongoing first of the two-match Test series.
The 30-year-old could score only 23 runs off 62 balls with only three boundaries to his name. The fans are in angst with Karnataka for his continuous failures for tram India at the highest level of the game. Following the Indian captain's departure, the fans immediately took to Twitter for lashing out at him and urged the Indian Cricket Board to exclude KL Rahul from the squad to vacate a place for the youngsters.
Here's how fans reacted:

Wise man once said "Compete against yourself, you are your only competition" KL Rahul definitely lives by it, scored 22 in first innings and bettered it by scoring 23 in second. #KLRahul

I'm still confused what his problem is. He has all the shots in the book. Why is he struggling? Temperament? Earlier in his career even that was fantastic but ever since he has returned from injury, it has been iffy. #KLRahul https://t.co/x6gJT0L8fG

KL Rahul averages only 35 after 44 Tests. He has exhibited flashes of brilliance in his Test career but is far from fulfilling his potential.

At a time when the Indian domestic circuit is overflowing with batting talents, should selectors carry on with Rahul?#BANvIND #KLRahul

I came to know about this word "non-playing captain" during our #daviscup campaigns where #RameshKrishnan used to be our captain. We can see that in Indian Cricket too.. now-a-days.#BCCI #INDvsBangladesh #KLRahul

Speaking of the current action of the third day's play between India and Bangladesh, the Indian team has scored 103 runs for the loss of one wicket in 28.5 overs. Opening batter Shubman Gill is sojourning there in the middle on the individual score of 63 runs alongside senior specialist batter Cheteshwar Pujara, the latter has scored 13 runs with two boundaries.
Khaled Ahmed has been the only batter to scalp a wicket as he claimed the wicket of India's stand-in skipper KL Rahul for the second time in the ongoing series opener of the Test series.
Speaking from the Indian perspective, they have to win both matches of the Test series against Bangladesh to stay alive in contention for the World Test Championship Final 2023. Notably, the Indians will also host the Australian team in February next year. Both teams will play four Tests against each other, and India will have to either three or four matches to fix their spot in the World Test Championship Final.
