The modern era of social media has brought several changes in the lives of cricketers for a time being. Almost all the cricketers are now on various social media platforms to maintain their virtual presence among the fans. But there have been also instances when fake accounts have been created in the names of cricketers.
Recently, a similar has happened with the captain of Hong Kong, Nizakat Khan on Twitter. He confirmed his fake account from which a tweet about the Pakistani skipper Babar Azam. Notably, there are very slight changes in the user handle of the fake account and the original account of Nizakat.
There was a photo of Babar Azam posted from the fake handle with a caption, “With King of Cricket”. Later on, Nizakat had to verify from his original account that he doesn’t have any kind of association with that account and then asked the fans not to acknowledge the opinions from that handle.

“Hello everyone - Just to let you all know that this is a fake account, be aware the views shared on this account are not mine. please kindly help to report this account Thanks,” read the tweet of the Pakistan-born Hong Kong skipper from his official Twitter handle.
Speaking about the performance of Hong Kong in the recent few T20 internationals, then firstly, they qualified for the main stage of the Asia Cup 2022 after winning the qualifiers. They were placed with India and Pakistan in the Group A of the tournament.
Nizakat & co played the first match of their campaign against the Indians where they lost by 40 runs. Then, they faced Pakistan in their second and last Group match of the tournament. In this match, the men in green completely outplayed Hong Kong and won the match by a mammoth margin of 155 runs. The men in red got all out only on the score of 38 runs against Pakistan while chasing the target of 194 runs in the 20 overs.
