Speaking of the surprising lineup of the Indian playing XI for the curtain raiser of the T20I series against South Africa, then the management has opted to include both Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant together. Other than that, the senior and legendary off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will also be in action during this match against South Africa.

The top-order of the men in blue will look the same including the likes of skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul to open the innings. It will be followed by the senior batter Virat Kohli at number three and star striker Suryakumar Yadav at number four.

Looking at the bowling attack of the hosts, then they are playing with three pacers in the form of Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Chahar, and Harshal Patel. Whereas senior all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin will be there in the role of a specialist spinner alongside Axar Patel. Notably, Axar was awarded player of the series for his stellar bowling performances in the recently-concluded T20I series against Australia.
