England has now become the second team to win the 20-20 World Cup for two times in the history of the tournament so far. Once again, it was Ben Stokes who stood firmly between the win and the opponent to take England across the finishing line. Eventually, the 31-year-old guided the three lions to clinch the 20-20 World Cup title for the second time in history after a long wait of 12 years.
Jos Buttler’s men were locking horns with Babar Azam’s Pakistan in the final of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup. Buttler won the toss and decided to field first at the MCG in Melbourne. Batting first, the men in green could post a target of only 138 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Jos Buttler-led team has repeated the same what Paul Collingwood-led English team did in the third edition of the 20-20 World Cup 12 years back in the year 2010. Paul Collingwood was leading a team that was studded with the stars like Kevin Pietersen and Stuart Broad.
