The Friday morning in Multan came up with a stunning spin-bowling revelation Abrar Ahmed. The young guy received his debut Test cap as the 252nd player for Pakistan in the traditional format of the game. Notably, Babar Azam’s men are in action against England in the second of the three-match Test series.
The visitors’ skipper Ben Stokes won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first at the tricky track of the Multan Cricket Stadium. But it was none other than the Abrar Ahmed who proved Stokes wrong and scalped the first seven wickets of the England innings.
During the first session of the first day of the second Test, the 24-year-old leggie ended up scalping all five wickets of the English team by the time of Lunch.

The selectors of Pakistan’s national team took no time in looking towards Abrar and gave him a chance to represent the county at the highest level of the game.
Speaking of Abrar’s First-Class career, he has scalped 76 wickets in 26 innings of the 14 matches played so far while representing Sindh in domestic cricket. He records best figures of 6/40 including 7 five-wicket hauls and two 10-wicket hauls in a match.
The cricket pundits are counting on Abrar as a brilliant future prospect in the line of spin bowling when it comes to playing in the longest format of the game.
