Eventually, it was cricket that won at the end of the day after an exciting and nail-biting thriller between two arch-rivals India and Pakistan. Both teams locked horns with each other in their tournament opener in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. In the end, the Indians managed to cross the line against the men in green and won the match by four wickets.
But there was a historic knock of 82 runs off 53 balls in the backdrop of this win that will be remembered for years. None other than the chase master of world cricket, Virat Kohli made the cricketing world come to its knees to bow down to his genius.

Discussing furthermore the match, the Pakistani team was asked to bat first after losing the toss. They managed to post a total of 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed and Shan Masood played brilliant half-century knocks for the men in green. Whereas Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar scalped three wickets each for the Indian team in the first innings.
While chasing the target, the Indian team fell down in a miserable condition when they lost four wickets only on the score of 31 runs. But then came the unbelievable knock from the former Indian skipper and contemporary legend Virat Kohli. He went on to stitch an outstanding partnership of 113 runs for the fifth wicket with star all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Eventually, the men in blue won for the 13th time in a World Cup clash against Pakistan.
