The 2011 World Cup winner Indian batter ended up in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka as the highest run-scorer. He smashed 283 runs in three innings of with an outstanding average of 141.60 including an unbeaten knock of 166 runs in the last ODI alongside two centuries to his name.
He won both the players of the series award and player of the match award after Indiaโs massive 317-run win over the Islanders in the last fixture of the ODI series.
Now, Kohli will be in action with the Indian team during the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Although the management has rested him from the three-match T20I series against the Blackcaps.
