Virat Kohli has been out of form for quite a while now. Of late, he has been below-par, to say the least. As a matter of fact, the 33-year-old is currently struggling in the Indian T20 league 2022 as well.
Kohli has only scored 186 runs in 10 innings of this edition so far. He also scored two consecutive golden ducks. While he did score a half-century against Gujarat, he didn't look at his usual best. Kohli took 53 balls to score 58 runs. Thus, several experts and pundits have gone on to point out his poor performances in the recent past.
Australia's David Warner recently went on to speak about the same. When asked about what advice would he give to a struggling Kohli, the opener hilariously asked him to have more kids and enjoy love. Warner was then quick to say that he can't really answer that question.
"Have a couple more Kids and Enjoy Love!" said David Warner while speaking to Sports Yaari founder Sushant Mehta. "I don't know. I honestly can't answer that question. The form is temporary and Class is permanent so you don't lose that. It happens to every single player in the world. It doesn't matter how good a player you are, you're always going to have these ebbs and flows. Sometimes the ebb is a long way before you get back up there. Stick to the basics," he added.
It is to be noted that Warner himself was going through a lean patch during the Indian T20 league 2021. However, he regained his lost form, and proved his critics wrong during the 20-20 World Cup 2021. He also went on to win the player of the tournament award, and played an influential role in ensuring that Australia win their maiden 20-20 WC.
As far as the Indian T20 league 2022 is concerned, Warner is currently representing the Delhi-based franchise. He has been superb for them. Warner has scored 264 runs at an average of 44 in seven games of this edition. This includes three fifties as well. Delhi are scheduled to face Hyderabad on May 5.
