IPL 2024 Auctions are still a few days away but there is massive news that has sent fans into a shockwave. Hardik Pandya is set to rejoin the Mumbai Indians in what is being termed a blockbuster deal.

Mumbai Indians as per reports are set to pay Gujarat Titans INR 15 Crores for the services of the Indian all-rounder. If the trade deal does go through it will not be the first time will an existing skipper of an IPL side be traded.
Ever since the news of Hardik Pandya has broken the Mumbai Indians fans have been left buzzing. The prospect of their former talent coming back has given lots of fans a huge boost ahead of the IPL 2024 auctions on the 19th of December.

The potential trade of Hardik Pandya has left many fans in shock while Mumbai Indians fans are on cloud nine. If this trade goes through, Hardik Pandya will not be the only active skipper to be traded by their team.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the first active skipper to be traded during an IPL Window. The veteran bowler was the skipper of the Punjab Kings side when he was traded to Rajasthan Royals.
Rajasthan Royals themselves traded their active skipper Ajinkya Rahane to Delhi Capitals. Hardik Pandya will become the third active skipper who will be traded by his team during the window.
Earlier there were rumors that Gujarat Titans are set to ask Rohit Sharma as a part of the deal. The swap deal was mooted as one of the biggest trades in the history of the IPL. Mumbai Indians though showed no interest in sending Rohit Sharma the other way as the 36-year-old is seen as a Mumbai Indians player for life.
Reports also suggest that Mumbai Indians will now have to release a lot of players to recoup the money. Jofra Archer and Cameron Green are the names being suggested in the media but the five time champions could release even more players. Mumbai Indians will be looking to buy a death-overs bowler or Indian all-rounder once the final release list is confirmed and the money is recouped.
