Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has fallen once again on the receiving end of the trolls on the social media platform, Twitter. It all happened after a decision came from the Indian cricket Board that the Yo-Yo Test will be mandatorily a part of the selection criteria for the players to fix their spots in the squad.

β€œThe Yo-Yo Test and Dexa will now be part of selection criteria and implemented in the customized roadmaps of the central pool of players,” reads the official statement released by the Indian cricket Board in the aftermath of the review meeting of Team India.

The meeting included President Roger Binny, Secretary Jay Shah, national team skipper Rohit Sharma, head coach Rahul Dravid, and NCA head VVS Laxman.

Coming back to the Yo-Yo Test being made compulsory by the Board, the fans took it as an opportunity to troll the current Indian skipper and veteran batter, Rohit Sharma. They took to Twitter to take a dig at the 35-year-old and also assumed that his international career also over as he could not pass the Yo-Yo fitness Test.

Notably, Rohit Sharma is not in action in international cricket since he sustained an injury in his left thumb during the second of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. Although he might be seen in action during the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka followed by the same number of 50-over matches against New Zealand later this month.

In immediate future, the Indian team under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya will lock horns with Sri Lanka in the three-match ODI series starting from the 3rd of January.

Apart from that, Rohit Sharma’s men will take on Australia in the four-match Test series against Australia next month from the 9th of February.
