After that, he has shown some form across all three formats and even in the recently concluded IPL, Kohli played good quality cricket with consistency for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). But, now, the former Pakistan skipper, Imran Khan came up with a huge statement that Babar can surpass Kohli in future.

“I believe that Virat Kohli and Babar Azam belong to the same class.” - Imran Khan

Kohli’s numbers across all formats are staggering and in recent times, Babar has shown improvement in his games, especially regarding his consistency. So, fans of these two batters always get indulged in the debate about who is better than whom. While talking to a local sports journalist, Khan claimed: "I haven't recently seen cricket, but I believe that Virat Kohli and Babar Azam belong to the same class. Babar Azam can surpass Virat Kohli; he is that good, from what I have seen."

Meanwhile, that statement did not surprise many fans as Babar has broken some records recently which were earlier achieved by Kohli. But, some fans were not happy as they shared their views on social media. Speaking of Kohli, he was recently a part of Team India which played against Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Oval. But, in both innings, he failed to score big as other Indian batters were miserable also. Currently, Babar is in the United States for an educational program while he will be seen in action in the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL). He is going to play for the Colombo Strikers along with Naseem Shah, Matheesha Pathirana, and Chamika Karunaratne.
