The Indian T20 League 2022 debutants, Gujarat won the Indian T20 League title in the first attempt on May 29. They are only the second team after Rajasthan to win the title in their first attempt. The Pink Brigade won their only title in 2008 under Late Shane Warne. Ironically, Gujarat beat the 2008 winners to lift the title in front of their home crowd in Ahmedabad.

Skipper Hardik Pandya led from the front with the bat and the ball. He first took three wickets to break the back of the opposition which included the likes of Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Shimron Hetmyer. With the willow, the right-hander scored a valuable 34 when the team was tottering at 23/2. His innings and the contribution from Shubman Gill and David Miller helped the team chased down the target with ease.

However, the team only celebrated with the fan who were present in the Narendra Modi Stadium. The team hasn't got to celebrate with the wider fan base. This is the reason, the team will be organizing a road show in Ahmedabad on May 30 around 5:30 PM. The event will be organized to pay gratitude to their fans.

As reported by CricTracker, the caravan will begin from Usmanpura Riverfront and will end at Vishwakunj Riverfront. Talking about the game, the Sanju Samson-led side won the toss and elected to bat first. The team had a decent start as they were 60/1 at one stage. The fall of Samson to Pandya was a turning point of the game. The team went from 60/1 to 130/9 at the end of their innings.

The score was never going to be enough for the Jaipur-based team. However, they fought back with two early wickets in the powerplay. The Ahmedabad-based team stabilized after their skipper, Gill, and David Miller took control of the innings and took the team over the line. For Rajasthan, highest run-getter and highest wicket-taker Jos Buttler and Yuvendra Chahal couldn't bring the title for the team
