Indian women’s team is looking in a great touch currently, just after winning the three-match ODI series against England by 3-0, they are currently in action in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup 2022. India team played their second match of the campaign against Malaysia at Sylhet International Stadium in Sylhet.
Malaysian women’s skipper Winifred Duraisingam won the toss and asked the Indian team to bat first. Batting first, Indian girls went on to post a massive total of 181 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Indian fans were also very happy with the brilliant performance from the women’s team consecutively in their second match of the tournament. Fans took to Twitter for appreciating the performance of Harmanpreet & co.

Speaking of the match, then the opening pair of Sabbhineni Meghana and Shafali Verma provided an outstanding for the first wicket. They both stitched a massive partnership of 116 runs for the first wicket. Meghana played a match-defining knock of 69 runs alongside a 46-run knock from Shafali Verma.
Other than the openers, number three batter and wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh also smashed 33 runs off just 19 balls with five boundaries and a six to her name. Skipper Winifred Duraisingam and Nur Dania Syuhada scalped two wickets each for the Malaysian team in the first innings.
While chasing the target, Malaysian women could play only 5.2 overs and scored 16 runs for the loss of two wickets. It was the moment when rain forced to stop the play in the midst. Eventually, the Indian team was declared the winner by 30 runs according to the DLS method.
Earlier in the first match, the Indian team defeated the Sri Lankan women by 41 runs to start their campaign on a winning note.
