Delhi skipper Meg Lanning, who is also the orange cap holder in the tournament, talked about the loss after the match. She talked about her team’s batting performance and said that they couldn’t put partnerships in the middle and even blamed herself for using too much ball in the initial stage of the innings.

"To be honest, we were actually in very similar positions in the 12-over mark. And unfortunately in the innings we just couldn’t put partnerships together. I’ll take a lot of blame for that. I think I took up some balls early and then got out at a crucial time which was disappointing.” She said at the post-match interview.

Lanning also mentioned that they needed a set batter in the end and that’s where they lagged behind. However, the star Australian batter was asked how the orange cap suits her, she interestingly came up with an amazing reply and said that she failed to contribute anything to the scoreboard so it didn't feel good to wear this.

"We needed a set batter to get us through towards the back end. So that was a difference really, you know, lots of stuff to work on. I thought Mumbai bought excellently and that’s the game sometimes it doesn’t go your way,"

"Ooooh, I feel like a bit silly wearing this to be honest with you. Yeah, look, hopefully, I can keep contributing. And you know, we’ve got a few more wins in us," the Delhi skipper said.
