Drushil Chauhan, who was having a great time in WACA Perth, was spotted by Rohit and even got to bowl at the Indian skipper in the nets. The opener, who was impressed with the 11-year-old youngster, asked how he would play for team India if he stayed in Perth. However, Drushil replied that he will make it to India once he gets better with his bowling.

“You stay in Perth; how are you going to play for India?” the skipper asked 11-year-old Drushil. “I am going to go to India when I’ll be good enough,” the kid replied.

Speaking of the World Cup campaign in the press conference on Saturday, the 35-year-old said that Suryakumar Yadav might be India’s X-factor going into the tournament. The right-handed batter added that his men would play with aggressive intent and would look to attack the opponents right from the start.

“Surya can be our X-Factor. Hope he can continue his great form. He is a very confident player and he has confidence and momentum by his side currently,” said Rohit in the press conference. “Teams have become fearless and we’re looking to adopt the same approach. 140 used to be a winning total back then but now teams aim to reach there in 14-15 overs,” he added.

“I already have my XI for the Pakistan match. Already those players are informed. I don’t believe in a last-minute thing. I want them to prepare well. We understand the importance of India vs Pakistan match but there is no point in talking every time, even when we met during Asia Cup, we keep talking about the families, which cars do you have,” said the opening batter on India - Pakistan clash.
