  1. 114 vs England at The Oval, London, 2018

This is the maiden Test century for the Delhi player. Notably, he made his debut in the series. In only his third Test of his career, the Haridwar-born player showed the world what he is capable of. On the last day of the game, India were tottering at 121/5. India were staring down a defeat with only five wickets in hand and a little less than three sessions remaining in the game.

However, the young prodigy at the time played with immense freedom and made it look like nothing bad happened. The left-hander batted with great authority and scored 114 off just 146 balls, including 15 fours and 4 sixes. He also stitched a partnership of 204 runs with KL Rahul, who also scored a hundred. After the duo got out, the team were bowled out for 345 runs and lost the game by 118 runs.

  1. 159 not out vs Australia, Sydney, 2019

Pant scored his second Test century four months after the first one. However, the team was in a great situation at that time and needed another player to put Australia out of the game. When he came out to bat, the team had amassed 329/5. The team might have expected him to take them past 400 runs.

However, thanks to Tim Paine's defensive mindset, the team ticked along nicely and kept piling on the hosts' misery. Meanwhile, the Delhi player scored 159 not-out, including 15 fours and a six. The team eventually amassed 622/7, thanks to the partnership of 204 runs between Pant and Ravindra Jadeja.

  1. 100 not out vs South Africa, Capetown, 2022

The wicketkeeper-batter scored the fourth hundred of his career in the game where batters found it difficult to score. In the second innings of the match, he walked out to bat when India were on 58/4. He dominated the bowling attack and scored his hundred in just 139 balls, a knock which was laced with six fours and four sixes.

However, he couldn't help his team post a big total and they eventually lost the Test by seven wickets. With this defeat, India's dream of winning a Test series in South Africa was shattered once again.
