The Sun reports that after being introduced to the sport by the club's chairman, Ajmal Khan, Wahlberg has purchased a share in the Barbados Tridents squad of the Limacol Caribbean Premier League.

Hugh Jackman, famous for playing Wolverine in the X-Men movie series for a very long time, sent a message to all the cricket fans in India during the India vs Australia 2017 Border Gavaskar Trophy. He said, "Your superheroes have been overpowering all the teams in the World. But my Aussie mates have just got the better of your team in the first match, only the first. But I know that the Indian team is gonna play bold, bolder than ever. Because that's what superheroes do. That's what Logan does."

The actor also gave a heartfelt tribute to the late Australian cricketer Shane Warne, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 52. Jackman and Warne were close friends, and in a 2017 interview, the Wolverine actor revealed Warne’s peculiar habit of smoking in the showers.

During a promotional tour stop in Singapore, Hollywood actors Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx, who are both featured in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man movie, reportedly played cricket.

Foxx, in particular, took a liking to the sport, displaying his newfound abilities to his 3.68 million Twitter followers and praising himself as a "natural," according to News.com.au.

However, Garfield has acknowledged that he loves the game and that he once worked as a cricket coach. It's possible that everything he says in the video is accurate based on the shots he uses.
