Cricketers are nothing less than demi-gods. Not only are they loved by their fans, but they are also worshipped by them. Thus, nothing remains under the carpet nowadays and every detail of their personal life is known to everyone. Thus, there are some cricketers who broke the boundaries of family relations and fell in love with their cousins and thus, went on to marry them. Today, we shall be taking a look at five cricketers who married their cousins.

1) Virender Sehwag:

The former Indian opener Virender Sehwag got married to his childhood love Aarti Ahlawat in 2004. However, it is to be noted that she is distantly related to him as Aarti's aunt had got married to Sehwag's cousin. The former India batsman even dated her for around three years before the two decided to tie the knot. As a matter of fact, his better half revealed the same in an interview as well. They now have two kids and are pretty active on Social media.

2) Shahid Afridi:

Shahid Afridi is one of the most popular cricketers from Pakistan. During his time, he was one of the most explosive players. The former all-rounder married Nadia, who happens to be the daughter of his maternal uncle. Both of them got married in 2000. The couple is now blessed with five daughters.

3) Saeed Anwar:

The legendary batter is arguably one of the greatest players in the history of Pakistan cricket. He got married to his cousin Lubna in 1996. The couple had a lovely daughter together whom they named, Bismah. Unfortunately, she died in 2001, due to a prolonged illness that could not get cured.

4) Mustafizur Rahman:

Mustafizur Rahman is currently one of the best pacers in the world. In fact, it wouldn't be an overstatement to say that he is one of the best death bowlers at present as well. The Bangladesh pacer got married to his maternal cousin Samia Parvin. Both of them tried the knot in 2019. It is to be noted that Rahman's better half is a Psychology student at Dhaka University.

5) Babar Azam:

Over the years, Babar Azam has emerged as one of the best batters of this generation. He is currently the captain of Pakistan in all three formats of the game too. However, according to a report by the Times Of India, he is set to marry his cousin. They are expected to get hitched somewhere in 2022.
