Reece Topley was handed the ball for the first over. An iconic third over of the innings followed the quiet start. Adam Lyth smashed four sixes off the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th ball of the innings consecutively. And the Whitby-born batter's onslaught started from that moment. The batter dealt with sixes right from the start.

Oval Invincibles outplayed the Superchargers

Sam Curran picked up the scalp of Faf du Plessis on the 21st ball of the innings. Adam Lyth carried on with his fiery innings as he smashed Matt Milnes' ball out of the park. The 35-year-old opener brought up his off just seventeen balls. However, the bowler had the last laugh as he got rid of Adam Lyth for 79 runs. A six off the final ball off Roel van der Merwe powered the Superchargers' total to 157.

The Invincibles lost their skipper on the very second ball in the chase. Ben Raine deceived Jason Roy with a short ball. And the green team faced another hiccup on the seventh ball as Sunil Narine perished for just four runs. On the twentieth ball, Dwyane Bravo deceived in-form Rilee Rossouw. After losing three wickets in a short span of time, the Invincibles looked lost.

Jordan Cox and Sam Curran took the burden of steadying the innings. A six and a four from Jordan Cox off Craig Miles' over, took him into the forties. Dwayne Bravo got rid of Jordan Cox just before the batter reached his fifty for 48. Curran carried on at the other end as he smacked two sixes off Bravo's over. The left-handed allrounder reached his fifty off just 32 balls.

The Invincibles managed to inch past the target with three wickets in hand and three balls to spare.
