Over the years, there have been several batters who have played quick cameos. However, when batters convert their quick cameo into big scores, their knock tends to be remembered for ages. Thus, there have been several instances where players in the Indian T20 league have gone on to score half-centuries quicker than a tracer bullet. 1) KL Rahul (14 balls):

KL Rahul went on to score the fastest fifty in the history of the league in 2018. During Punjab's first game of that edition, the opener took just 14 balls to get to his half-century. It came against Delhi. Punjab went on to win this game rather comfortably and thus, started their 2018 campaign on a positive note.

In what turned out to be absolute insanity, Yusuf Pathan was breathing fire during this game against Hyderabad in 2014. The aggressive batter scored a fifty off just 15 balls. He then went on to score a magnificent 72 off just 22 balls and played at a strike rate of 327.27. This enabled Kolkata to qualify for the playoffs as well.

3) Sunil Narine (15 balls)

The pinch-hitter concept applied by the Knights turned out to be a masterstroke as Sunil Narine went on to score a fifty in just 15 balls. It came in 2017 against Bangalore. He ended up scoring 54 and was hitting boundaries and sixes for fun.

4) Suresh Raina (16 balls)

Unarguably one of the greatest T20 knocks ever, Suresh Raina took just 16 balls to score his half-century, this historic knock came during the second Qualifier game in 2014. The fact that it was against Punjab, who were the table toppers of that edition, made it even more special. He ended up scoring 87 runs in the first six overs itself and took just 25 balls to get those runs. His knock, however, went in vain as Chennai went on to lose this game.

5) Ishan Kishan (16 balls)

This is one of the most recent knocks to feature in this list. The swashbuckling keeper-batter got to his half-century in just 16 deliveries. It came against Hyderabad in 2021. He then went on to score 84 from 32 balls. However, even this monumental effort by the youngster wasn't enough for the five-time champions to make it to the playoffs in 2021.
