Australian opener, David Warner is played his second match for Delhi against Kolkata on Sunday. He didn’t have a great start to his campaign. Playing his first game of the season for a new franchise, the southpaw managed to score only 4 runs in in 12 balls against Lucknow.
Warner failed to give his team a strong start and Delhi could only score 149 runs against Lucknow in the first innings. And, moreover, they lost that game by 6 wickets. However, the Australian cricketer ensured he didn’t have another bad outing with the bat as he played a sensational knock in the ongoing match on Sunday.
Warner stitched a heart-warming opening partnership with Prithvi Shaw and set the tone for a big score. He later also stitched a handy partnership with Rishabh Pant to take the team to a formidable score on the board. Warner played an outstanding knock of 61 runs in 45 balls in only his second match for Delhi this season.
His knock helped the team reach a formidable score of 215 runs on the board. David Warner’s knock impressed one and all and the cricket pundits hailed his matured knock. The fans also joined and also trolled Hyderabad for leaving out one of the most destructive hitters of the cricket ball from their team.
Notably, Hyderabad openers failed to give them solid starts with the ball in their first two games.
Here’s a look at some of the most interesting reactions from the fans:
Can't wait for Rashid/Warner/Bairstow to break SRH in their games. Would be so satisfying
