The much-awaited biopic of former India Women's team skipper Mithali Raj has been released in cinema houses. Notably, last year it was announced that the movie would be released in February this year. However, the emergence of omicron variant of COVID-19 forced the makers to postpone the release. They had the option of releasing on the OTT platforms but they didn't do it.

After the wait for a few months, the makers have finally released the film in theaters. Talking about the film, it showcases the struggles of Raj from her childhood till making it to national squad at the age of 16. The trailer of the film was released a while ago.

After watching the film, a lot of spectators have expressed their feeling about the film. Some felt that it was just about ok, while others felt that it was a bad movie. On the other hand, there are also some people who feel that this movie deserves to be watched at least once. Talking about the film, Taapsee Pannu, who has done a lot of films in different Indian languages, is playing Mithali.

The Jodhpur-born player retired from international cricket a few months ago. Before retiring, she equaled the record of Javed Miandad and Sachin Tendulkar of playing six ODI World Cups. The 39-year-old ended her career as the highest run getter in women's ODI cricket. The right-hander has 7805 runs in 232 games. In the format, she has 7 centuries and 64 fifties to her name.

The former Velocity player has played 89 T20Is and has 2364 runs. She retired from the format in 2019. She kept playing the other formats till early this year and led the national team in both formats.
