England won the title of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 by outplaying Pakistan in the final of the tournament by a margin of five wickets. Senior all-rounder Ben Stokes took the match till the 19th over and crossed the finishing line for his to help them lift the 20-20 World Cup for the second time since they won 12 years back in the year 2010.

Speaking of the final against Pakistan, young England all-rounder Sam Curran and senior leg spinner Adil Rashid also played a crucial role in restricting the men in green to a score of only 137 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

Talking about the 34-year-old senior leg spinner Rashid, he scalped two crucial wickets for England by conceding 22 runs in his quota of four overs. Following the conclusion of the match title clash against Babar’s men, Adil Rashid opened up about his plans regarding his appearance in the next season of the Indian T20 League.

“Yes, I will be putting up my name in IPL auctions this time,” said Rashid to PTI in the aftermath of the 20-20 World Cup final against Pakistan on Sunday.

“Babar’s googly, I don’t if it was the turning point of the match but I was definitely getting some turn. I don’t know about Shadab Khan or Liam Livingstone.

” I was bowling a bit slower today and got the big leggies (leg breaks) going my way. Normally I bowl a bit quicker and a bit shorter. That was my game plan for me and that’s the way I bowl,” he added later about his strategy in the match against Pakistan.

“Yes, it could be as back home we have got a lot of supporters, who have a family history related to Pakistan. Deep down both me and Moeen know we have got a lot of fans and friends who support our rivalry in a good way,” the star leggie concluded.
