The Asia Cup 2023 is all set to begin from 31 August to 17 September. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) accepted the proposed hybrid model of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and according to that, now four matches will be played in Pakistan while the other nine matches will take place in Sri Lanka.

But, ahead of this upcoming tournament, Team India are still dealing with some injured players like Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul. Bumrah is out of action since the 20-20 World Cup in 2022 while Rahul suffered his injury during the IPL 2023 while playing for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). But, now, reports are coming out that both of these players are set to be available for the Asia Cup. Listening to that, fans shared their views on social media.

Bumrah last played for the Men in Blue in September 2022. After that, he missed both the Asia Cup and the 20-20 World Cup in 2022. Then, he missed the entire IPL and the World Test Championship (WTC) final in 2023. Rahaul also missed half of the IPL and the WTC final. So, if they finally manage to make a comeback for the upcoming Asia Cup, then, it will be a huge boost for Rohit Sharma and his men. Reports also suggested that Bumrah is bowling seven overs daily to get fit. While many pictures and videos have gone viral where Rahul was seen sweating hard in gyms to get fitter.
Apparently, both of these players are in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, having their rehab sessions. Speaking of the tournament, the most likely new PCB Chairman, Zaka Ashraf was not personally happy with the hybrid model. But, he claimed that the tournament will proceed as it was earlier discussed with the help of the hybrid model. Ashraf also claimed that the former PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi and his team should have handled it properly so that being the host nation, Pakistan could have hosted the whole tournament on their soil.
