‘Ek aur churan bech diya public ko’ - Fans react to Virat Kohli’s ‘my best is yet to come’ statement ahead of Indian T20 League 2023

Virat Kohli is currently gearing up for the upcoming Indian T20 League season for the Bangalore franchise. In the last edition of the tournament, he scored just 341 runs in 16 matches, at an average of 22.73. So, fans will hope for a much better performance from him this time around. In recent months, he has scored centuries across the formats for team India.

Now, ahead of the tournament, Virat Kohli came up with a huge statement in a show named Bold Diaries, presented by the Bangalore franchise. During that show, Kohli claimed that he is hoping to play his best form of cricket in the Indian T20 League 2023. He even expressed his joy on returning to Chinnaswamy stadium.

“I am just back to playing the way I do.” - Virat Kohli

During that show, Virat Kohli said: “My best is yet to come which hopefully happens in the Indian T20 League 2023. If I can get to the level that I really want to then it’ll help the team”. He further added: “I am just back to playing the way I do. There's still a lot of room to get to my best which hopefully happens in the Indian T20 League if I am able to get to the level I want to play at and help the team and it will be exciting."

"It was about rediscovering my love for the game and I could do that only after I could step away from what was happening on the field for so long. I was absolutely exhausted and I needed to connect to myself as a human first and not judge myself constantly and keep myself under scrutiny all the time," Virat Kohli said. On playing at Chinnaswamy after a long gap, Kohli said: It's one of the few things in the recent years that I am really excited about. It is special because I know how much the fans want to see us in the stadium and the Chinnaswamy will be lit up again, the crowd will be buzzing and so will the players and it will be special with a special announcement. It will definitely be a day to remember."
