Lucknow have had a good start to their maiden Indian T20 league season. They have won seven out of their 10 games in the 15th edition of this league so far. Recently, they beat Delhi by six runs. It was a clinical performance, to say the least.
Mohsin Khan was absolutely brilliant as he picked a four-fer against the Rishabh Pant-led side. Moreover, he only gave 16 runs in his full quota of four overs. It is to be noted that Khan was earlier with Mumbai, but didn't get an opportunity to showcase his talent for them.
Thus, Lucknow's skipper KL Rahul had heaps of praises for him during the post-match presentation. He spoke about his skills. Further on, the opener stated that he faced Khan in the nets a month ago, and didn't want to face him again. Rahul also said that the youngster was eager to get a game.
"Mohsin Khan has been brilliant, played him in the nets first time a month ago ... didn't want to face him, seriously. He was sharp, he's scary at times in the nets. It's not just the pace, he has a good brain, has a bit of skill as well, has a great slower one and he knows when to use them. Eager to learn, eager to play, obviously he's been around with the teams for the last 2-3 years, but he hasn't got a chance, he was very eager to play and he's been a confident guy.
Even under pressure, he's bowled some really big overs for us and he's performed for us. Hopefully he can learn, get better, get confident and keep doing the job for us," said KL Rahul during the post-match presentation.
In the meanwhile, Khan expressed his happiness after winning the player of the match award. The 23-year-old also said that his parents would be watching him on TV. He then stated that he enjoyed Rishabh Pant's wicket the most.
"I am so happy today. My mom and dad would be seeing it on TV. I enjoyed Pant's wicket the most. Because I set him up by bowling back of a length. Rahul bhai told me to bowl a really full ball he won't be expecting and I did what he said and got the wicket," said Mohsin Khan.
