Deepak Chahar made a strong comeback into the Indian squad after bagging a three-for in the first ODI against Zimbabwe. His injury ruled him out of the Indian T20 League after the Chennai team bought him for whopping 14 crores. However, he had to take a long break and undergo rehabilitation before he stepped onto the field again.
The bowler was eventually called up for the Zimbabwe tour and is also a reserve player for the Asia Cup 2022. He was adjourned as the man of the match in the first ODI and missed out on the second ODI. Deepak Chahar made his way back into the squad for the third ODI and was given the task to open the second innings with the ball for India.
While running up to bowl, on the very first ball of the innings, Deepak Chahar tried to Mankad Innocent Kaia as the Zimbabwe batter was well out of the crease. However, he did not appeal for the same and went bowling the delivery again. One of the Indian fans noted the incident and took to Twitter to write about the same.
Here is the incident
Well done Deepak Chahar. Didn't appeal but at least tried for Mankad 😸 #ZIMvIND #INDvZIM pic.twitter.com/3Z8zMwZFu9

Famous Twitter user, 'CricCrazyJohns' replied to the tweet saying that he waited for the batter to get out of the crease. "I think he waited for the batsman to go out of the crease, when Deepak reached the bowling area, he was inside I guess," he tweeted. And another user replied to Johns highlighting that the pacer would not have appealed either way.
May be but he wouldn't have appealed anyway
