Dale Steyn wants these Indian players to play the 20-20 World Cup 2022

Hyderabad have been absolutely sensational in the Indian T20 league 2022 so far. After losing their first two games, they went on to win their next five games. As a result, the orange army are currently placed second on the points table.

They recently humiliated Bangalore as they dismissed them for just 68. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik and T Natrajan played an influential role in the same. Besides, the trio have been superb for Hyderabad so far in the tournament. While Kumar is a veteran in this format of the game, Natrajan has already played a few games for India. On the other hand, Malik has already been praised by several stalwarts.

Thus, Hyderabad's bowling coach Dale Steyn had heaps of praises for these Indian pacers. He was hoping to see Kumar and Natrajan play the 20-20 World Cup 2022 for India. He also said that they were keen on buying both the pacers back during the mega auction.

"I certainly hope that they do! (Play the upcoming 20-20 WC in Australia). Both of them are bowling fantastically well. I was very pleased when I heard after the auction that both Bhuvi and Nattu would continue with us. They are certainly two guys we were interested in leading up to the auction. We had our pre-auction meetings where we discussed the players we wanted and wrote down their names. You know how the auctions work - sometimes things go your way, sometimes they don’t. In this case, we got the guys we wanted," said Dale Steyn while speaking to Sportskeeda.

In the meanwhile, the legendary pacer also spoke about Malik. He felt that the Jammu and Kashmir pacer will certainly play for India. Steyn wanted the speedster to play for the Asian side as soon as possible. It is to be noted that Malik has currently picked 10 wickets in his first seven games of the 2022 edition.

"Right now we’re all excited about Umran’s talent and what he has shown. Everyone is on the edge of their seats when he bowls. It’s exciting not just for Indian cricket, but also for world cricket. Very rarely do you get guys like that who bowl so fast and that too consistently.

I’m sure he’ll play for India soon. How he’ll be managed will be entirely up to Indian cricket. I think they should bring him to the senior team as soon as possible because what he offers is brilliant. He makes the batters think and play differently. For now, I just want to see him progress," he added.
