Former South Africa pacer, Dale Steyn doesn’t need any introduction. He is counted amongst the best fast bowlers in the history of cricket. In his prime, he would send shivers down the batter's spine. Steyn was a phenomenon in world cricket. His ability to swing the bowl both ways and bowl fast at accurate lengths was second to none.
During his illustrious career, he picked as many as 439 runs in 93 Tests for his country at an average of 22.9. In ODIs, he claimed 196 wickets in 125 matches at 25.9. His record in T20 internationals too was nothing less than sensational. In 47 T20 internationals, Steyn picked 64 wickets at 18.4.
The South African fast bowler remains quite active on social media. He often shares interesting posts to keep his fans entertained. In his playing days, he wasn’t shy to give it back to the batters who troubled him on the field. Well, you can’t say that the same cannot be said about him off the field.
Steyn has often seen giving befitting replies on his social media handle to whosoever tried to troll him in the past. Another such activity happened recently on his latest Twitter post shared on Tuesday. Apparently, the South African cricketer shared an image of him carrying a big fish. To that, a Twitter user named, Sayan left a comment, which read, “ Bumrah is better than you”.
Instead of ignoring the post, Steyn chose to give a befitting reply. He acknowledged the fact that the Indian seamer bowls better than him, while also adding that he is retired now.
“I am sure he is, I’m retired.”
Im sure he is, I’m retired.

For those of you who don’t know, Dale Steyn is currently part of the Hyderabad franchise as their bowling coach for the ongoing Indian T20 League 20222. After losing two consecutive games, Hyderabad have bounced back brilliantly with two back-to-back wins. Currently, they have two wins in four matches and would be looking to continue the winning momentum.
