There’s a cliché in sports that ‘wins and losses are part of the game’ but the scenario looks quite different when you’re representing a country like India and that too in cricket. Being an Indian cricketer, one is always loaded with an extreme burden of expectations and is always on the edge of the knife of harsh criticism. For just a few bad outings, Indian fans take no time to forget the crucial contribution of any veteran cricketer.
A similar is happening at the moment following India’s 20-20 World Cup loss against England. Fans took no time in converting their love for the men in blue into angst and agony. Some of the fans went to an extent of asking to snatch Indian citizenship from KL Rahul.
When most of the people from the Indian cricketing fraternity including fans are lashing out brutally at their national cricket team, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has come up with completely a different stance to take a stand for Rohit Sharma’s men amidst the hard and fast-lined criticism from the Indian cricket community and cricket fans.
The 53-year-old veteran of iconic Bollywood movies took to his official Twitter handle for penning down a heartfelt note for Indian cricket after the end of their campaign in the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.
“Dear Team India, cheering for you as you put your heart and soul into converting the dreams of an entire nation into reality has always been an amazing experience. Though your journey to the finals was cut short, we enjoyed every bit of it. I cannot imagine the pressure each of you guys experienced with the eyes of the nation watching you,” read the note posted by Devgn on his official Twitter handle.
Here's how Ajay Devgn has come up with a firm stand for team India:
Keep heart guys.

Winning or losing is a part of the sport. Both results are inevitable. But we stand with you. Through thick and thin, ups and downs we are here to stand with the best team in the world. Chin up Guys! We will come back stronger and better than ever,” he added later.
