On 3 February 2023, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi tied the knot with former skipper Shahid Afridi’s daughter Ansha. The ceremony took place at a mosque in Karachi. However, both of them were engaged two years ago. Many images and videos from that ceremony have now gone viral.
Among them, one picture has gone viral where Shaheen Afridi’s newly married wife Ansha was seen. In that ceremony, his teammates like the current Pakistan captain Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naseem Shah, and Shadab Khan were present. According to reports, a reception was held soon after the nikah (wedding) while Shaheen’s family reached Karachi two days earlier for the wedding.

Shaheen Afridi last played for Pakistan in the final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 against England
Speaking about Shaheen Afridi’s newly married wife Ansha, she is the second-born daughter of Shahid Afridi. Ansha is a medical student from the UK. The pair, Ansha, and Shaheen Afridi got engaged in a close ceremony in 2021. Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi has not played for Pakistan for a long time.
He last played for the Men in Green in the final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 against England. However, England won that final and became the reigning champions in the shortest format of the game. In that tournament, he took 11 wickets in seven matches, at an average of 14.09 and a strike rate of 6.15. However, the Pakistan pacer revealed his desire to marry her in an interview earlier.
After that, he did not play in the home Test series against England and New Zealand respectively. Shaheen did not play in the ODI series against the Kiwis also. Speaking about his career, Shaheen Afridi has played 25 Tests so far where he has taken 99 wickets. Then, he has played 32 ODIs where Shaheen has managed 62 wickets.
