Team India were in action against Australia on 7 June 2023 at the Oval in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. As expected Virat Kohli was in action as Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. Kohli was seen in the slips and now images have gone viral where the former skipper was seen in different funny moods.

Seeing those images, fans shared some funny replies on the social media platform. Speaking of Kohli, he came to this clash after having a solid IPL 2023 for his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise. He scored 639 runs in 14 matches, including six fifties and two centuries. So, fans are hoping to see him score big runs.

However, ahead of the final, he heaped praises on Rohit Sharma in an interaction with the Apex Council of Cricket. He said: "Rohit…umm, I have always said that he has got more time than anyone on the ball. And that is the special ability he has from day one. When I saw him playing for the very first time, I understood what the hype was all about and why he was rated so highly. He is someone, when you watch him play, enjoy watching him. I have had amazing partnerships with him and thoroughly enjoyed watching him from the other end when he is going great guns.”

Speaking of the match, for Australia, David Warner and Usman Khawaja came out to bat. But, Khawaja departed for a duck off 10 balls as India struck early. But, after that, Marnus Labuschagne and Warner steadied the ship with a partnership of 69 runs for the second wicket. Warner scored 43 runs off 60 balls, including eight fours. Finally, the first session of day one ended as Australia scored 73 runs for two wickets in 23 overs. Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj took one wicket each.
