In the second T20I, Ireland and India locked horns at the Malahide with the home side looking to level the series. On the other hand, the Men In Blue were looking to seal the series. After all, they had lost the five-match T20I series against the West Indies early this month. Meanwhile, in the game, the home team, Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl first.

On the other hand, the Asian side was looking to bat first after bowling first in the previous game. They had a good start before the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma were caught at deep trying to play pull shots. The former got out to Craig Young while Varma got out to Barry McCarthy. At 34/2, the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson put together 71 runs for the third wicket.

While the latter scored his second T20I fifty, Samson got to 40 runs in just 26 balls. In the end, Rinku Singh (38) and Shivam Dube (22*) took the team to 185/5 at the end of the innings. McCarthy took two wickets for the Green Brigade while Young, Ben White, and Mark Adair took one each.

In reply, once again, the home team lost three wickets in the powerplay. Unlike the first game, they lost two wickets in the third over. Prasidh Krishna took the wickets of Paul Stirling and Lorcan Tucker with hard-length balls. Ravi Bishnoi cleaned up Harry Tector with a googly although it was almost a half-volley.

Curtis Campher became Bishnoi's second victim trying to play a reverse sweep on a leg-stump delivery. At 65/4, the likes of George Dockrell and former skipper Andrew Balbirnie put together 52 runs for the fifth wicket. However, the team was always going away from the required run rate every over. Despite Balbirinie's fifty, the other batters failed to take the team close, losing the game by 33 runs.
