Harshal Patel replaced Avesh Khan, while Ravi Bishnoi too was given a chance, replacing Yuzvendra Chahal in the playing XI. Riding on sensational knocks from Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson, India managed to post a mammoth score of 225 runs on the board.

However, despite that, Ireland almost snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Ireland came extremely close but fell 4 runs short in the end. The likes of Paul Sterling (40), Andrew Balbirnie (60), and Harry Tector (39) all made useful contributions with the bat.

Ravi Bishnoi didn’t have a great outing with the ball and, there is no denying that India missed the services of Yuzvendra Chahal in that game. Chahal played the first T20I and returned with figures of 1 for 11 in 3 overs. However, he was rested for the second game.

Yuzvendra Chahal, however, did come out on the field as a substitute fielder and managed to take a catch of Tucker, who was looking good in the middle. It was Umran Malik’s first wicket of his international cricket career. The speedster removed wicketkeeper-batter Lorcan Tucker on 5, as substitute fielder Yuzvendra Chahal took an impressive catch as he came running from long-on.

The fans were happy for Umran Malik but some of them also took notice of Yuzvendra Chahal wearing a beanie cap. Throughout his stay as a fielder, he wore a beanie because of the cold weather in Berlin. The Indian fans took this as an opportunity to poke fun at the Indian spinner. Here’s a look at how the fans reacted:

India are now slated to play against England in the fifth rescheduled Test match at Edgbaston ground in Birmingham from 1st to 5th July 2022.
