Finally, in a shocking and disappointing piece of news for Indian cricket fans, senior Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. Earlier, the 28-year-old was ruled out of the ongoing three-match T20I series against South Africa. Prior to that, he could play only a few matches in the three-match T20I series against Australia.
Apart from that, there are also questions arising about the management and the think tank of India. The question is who was the authority to approve his comeback in the series against Australia if he was still vulnerable to the injury?
Indian cricket fans are also in an extreme sense of disappointment after the arrival of this shocking news just ahead of the marquee tournament. They took to Twitter for expressing their grief and disappointment over the same.
Here’s how fans reacted to the exclusion of Jasprit Bumrah from the 20-20 World Cup 2022:
Jasprit Bumrah is out of the T20 world cup. In the present situation it's bigger than losing Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli together.#jaspritbumrah

Before the World Cup, the Indian team still has a chance to correct its mistakes. The Indian team management should immediately announce Chahar as Bumrah's replacement and definitely play the sixth bowler in all the matches. #BCCI#JaspritBumrah #T20WorldCup2022 #T20WorldCup https://t.co/eBJki1JVrU

He will definitely roar again only while playing for #MI and then be injured and take rest for all other ICC tournaments and then recover and again available for IPL #MumbaiIndians. That's the story. #T20WorldCup #JaspritBumrah pic.twitter.com/noYQmunTHu

My take:
Pace is needed in Australian tracks. But team balance is also crucial. I expect both Shami and Deepak Chahar to come into the 15.
Interesting to see if India leave out Harshal. Crucial game tomorrow#CricketTwitter #INDvsSA
Adding to the bowling woes J.Bumrah is officially ruled out of the T20 wc

Who do you think now will be the 3 fast bowlers in the playing 11#JaspreetBumrah #T20WorldCup2022 #BCCI #jaspritbumrah
My view - #JaspritBumrah can't be replaced in skill from the options we have, so instead of searching for his replacement, the search should be on who is better fit for balance of team in current form. From that perspective... Deepak Chahar. He can also replace Bhuvi in XI.

“The BCCI Medical team has ruled out Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. The decision was taken following a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists. Bumrah, was initially ruled out from the ongoing Mastercard 3-match T20I series against South Africa due to a back injury,” reads the official statement from the Indian cricket Board on the behalf of the secretary of the Board, Jay Shah.
“The BCCI will be naming a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah in the squad for the marquee tournament soon,” the statement adds further.
Notably, the Indian management has already named the Hyderabad pacer Mohammed Siraj as the replacement for Bumrah in the ongoing three-match T20I series against the Proteas. Whereas, on the other hand, Siraj alongside Umran Malik has also been added to the reserve list for the 20-20 World Cup 2022.
Rohit’s men will now take on South Africa in the last T20I of the series and it will be the only T20I for them ahead of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.
