The auction for the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League is just a few days away from now as the reports are already out regarding the speculated date for the commencement of the auction. Amidst all this, the debate over Ravindra Jadeja’s association with Chennai has ignited once again in the Indian cricketing circle.
A few of the reports have learned that probably there is no chance of Jadeja’s ending with Chennai. The report further understands that MS Dhoni is keen to have the senior all-rounder in his team for the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League.
A media report has learned that “He is an extremely crucial member of the team and Dhoni felt Jadeja’s influence cannot be replicated by another player, especially with CSK playing their home games in Chennai.”
Although this move from the former Indian skipper didn’t go down well with some of the Indian fans and they recalled the time when there were rumors of rifts between Suresh Raina and Chennai. They took to Twitter to call out MS Dhoni for not backing Suresh Raina at the moment to be in the team.
Here’s how fans reacted:

Notably, the deadline to submit the names of retained players is the 15th of November. So, this announcement is quite a bit of assurance about the continuation of Jadeja’s association with a multiple-time champion franchise.
Currently, Jadeja is not in action during international cricket as he sustained a knee injury during Asia Cup 2022. Subsequently, he was ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. But it is also expected that the 33-year-old might recover by the start of the Indian T20 League 2023.
