Now, regarding the Babar Azam vs Virat Kohli debate, the former Pakistan player, Shahid Afridi came up with his verdict.

While talking on Samaa TV, Afridi said that Babar can’s win games for you but can ensure stability at one end. He said: “Babar can not win games for teams, but can help another batter on the other end by ensuring stability at one end because Babar takes time to build his innings. There is no hesitation that he is the number-one ranked batter in the world. He is our pride. Pakistan’s pride also but there is one thing that prevents him.”
Afridi further added: “The only thing that prevents Babar Azam to go into the same league as AB De Villiers or Virat Kohli, is the finishing skills. As of now, he has failed to prove himself as a match-winner for his team. I want him to become a finisher. He learns how to finish games. This is the only thing that is a barrier in his class.”
It seemed that the former Pakistan skipper said that Babar Azam needs to work on his game to get at the same level as Virat Kohli. Hearing such a statement, some fans went crazy and slammed him for taking sides with team India and Virat Kohli. They also accused Afridi of not taking the sides of Babar.
