Indian team has started their preparations in full flow for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022 commencing on the 16th of October later this week. The men in blue played their first warm-up ahead of the main round of the tournament against Western Australia XI yesterday. India won the warm-up match by 13 runs to boost their preparations.
Skipper Rohit Sharma failed to deliver a good performance with the bat as he could score only 3 runs. Whereas former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli was not a part of the Indian team in the first warm-match.
Earlier, there’ve been various talks about a reported rift between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. It all started when Kohli happened to post a picture with a few members of the Indian team. Social media trolls found a chance to come up with their stereotypical agenda and emphasized how the two seniors have created a divide within the squad of team India.
Other than Kohli’s picture, Suryakumar Yadav also uploaded a photo with Rohit, Rishabh Pant, and Yuzvendra Chahal in the frame. On the other hand, Kohli could be seen there with Harshal Patel, Deepak Hooda, and Axar Patel.
Here’s how fans reacted to these different photos from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli:

Speaking of India’s performance in the last seven editions of the 20-20 World Cup, they haven’t won the title since they clinched the trophy in the inaugural 20-20 World Cup in 2007. MS Dhoni-led young Indian side stunned everyone throughout the entire tournament to become the first-ever champions in the history of the 20-20 World Cup.
The men in blue had a forgettable outing in last year’s 20-20 World Cup played in UAE where they lost to Pakistan and New Zealand respectively in the group matches.
In this year’s edition, India will start their campaign against the arch-rivals Pakistan on the 23rd of October next week.
