In July and August, India will play five T20 internationals, three ODIs, and two Tests in the West Indies. In Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, the Men in Blue will play two Twenty20 internationals. The Indian Cricket Board and Cricket West Indies, according to a report on Cricbuzz, struck a pact during Cricket Council meetings in Dubai last month. The two cricketing governing bodies decided to play two more games.

Two further T20 Internationals will be played in Florida, according to a Cricket West Indies member who provides an update on the situation. “That is the plan. Unless there is an unavoidable situation, the two extra games will be played in Florida, like last year," the official said.

India dominated West Indies in the T20Is last year

The final two Twenty20 International (T20I) games between India and the West Indies were played at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Field in Lauderhill, Florida, last year. Both times, the Men in Blue came out on top. The two matches, however, nearly fell apart at the eleventh hour because of visa complications, but the President of Guyana stepped in and ended the dilemma.

The USA Cricket board will play no or a very small part in hosting the matches in Florida; instead, CWI will be doing so. “No to USA Cricket. The Cricket West Indies is the event host with special commercial relations and arrangements for local operations at the Broward Stadium. This is very similar to how the 2024 World Cup will operate for the US matches," a Cricket West Indies official said. USA Cricket officials did not offer their comment.

“The visa appointments in Trinidad were messed up beyond our control and, at great cost and inconvenience for all concerned, we had to rearrange to fly those without visas to Guyana, in between the St Kitts and Florida matches. It also included some West Indians," the Cricket West Indies official further added.
