The Asian Games 2023 is all set to take place in Hangzhou, the People's Republic of China, from 23 September to 8 October. The Men’s cricket event is going to take place in a 20-20 format and for that, on 14 July, the Indian Cricket Board announced the Team India squad. Ruturaj Gaikwad was named as the skipper.

But, fans were in shock not to see Nitish Rana getting a place in the squad. Rana had a decent IPL 2023 as he led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. KKR finished in the seventh position while Rana scored 413 runs in 14 matches, at an average of 31.77. Now, after this snub, his wife, Saachi Marwah came up with a cryptic tweet and regarding that fans shared their views also.

Speaking of the tweet, it reads: “You either get bitter, or you get better. It’s that simple. You either take what has been dealt to you and allow it to make you a better person, or allow it to tear you down. The choice belongs to you.” It seemed that the KKR skipper’s wife took an indirect jab at the Board after ignoring her husband once again. 

Speaking of Rana, he last played for Team India in July 2021. As of now, he has played one ODI and two T20Is. In the only ODI against Sri Lanka, he scored just seven runs. While in two T20Is, he accumulated only 15 runs. But, in IPL, he has played 105 matches so far.
