The 24-year-old played 29 matches scoring 1584 runs with an average of 63 and a strike rate of 105. Gill scored five centuries and nine half-centuries during the year.
Virat Kohli – India
The former India skipper ended 2023 as a record holder in the ODI format. Virat Kohli became the first player to score fifty ODI Centuries going past the record set by Sachin Tendulkar. Glenn Maxwell – Australia
The biggest impact player during the ODI World Cup 2023 was none other than Glenn Maxwell. The 35-year-old Australian scored 201 runs during an epic game in Mumbai versus Afghanistan. In 11 games this year Maxwell has scored 413 runs with an average of 51 and a strike rate of 145. Glenn Maxwell’s two centuries alone this year warrant his place in the Best ODI XI for 2023. Heinrich Klaasen – South Africa

Rounding off the list at number 11 is none other than Australia’s best leg-spinner in the current era. Adam Zampa picked 38 wickets from 20 and played a key role in the ODI World Cup triumph. This has earned Zampa a place in the ODI XI for 2023 to make it a formidable team.
