On 7 March 2023, Islamabad United took on Multan Sultams in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). It was the 24th match of the competition as both teams were looking to strengthen their position at the table. Speaking of the match, Shadab Khan won the toss and elected to field first.

However, Islamabad United managed to win the match by chasing down a mammoth target of 206 runs with one ball to spare. But, a video has gone viral now where Shadab Khan was seen using abusive language after he got out. The language got caught in the stump mic and thus, fans have come out with their views on social media.

Shadab Khan took two wickets and scored 44 runs in the match
Speaking of the video, the incident occurred in the 15th over of Islamabad United’s innings. Shadab was batting while Ihsanullah was bowling. On the fourth delivery of that over, the pacer went for a pacy delivery. The Pakistan all-rounder went for a big shot but completely missed it as the ball hit his stumps. Shadab was furious after getting out and he was caught saying abusive language on the stump mic.
Speaking of the match, for Multan Sultans, the skipper Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood came out to open the innings. Rizwan scored 33 runs and Masood scored 75 runs. Then, Tim David scored 60 runs off 27 balls as they scored 205 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. For Islamabad, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Wasim took two wickets each while Faheem Ashraf took one wicket.
In reply, Colin Munro, Shadab Khan, and Faheem Ashraf came up with some significant contributions as they chased down the target in 19.5 overs with two wickets in the hand. Faheem Ashraf won the player of the match award for his match-winning knock of 51* runs off 26 balls. With this win, Islamabad registered their sixth win of the season.
