Senior Indian opener KL Rahul is continuously under fire and at the receiving end of harsh criticism from the Indian cricketing fans and some of the former cricketers as well. The 30-year-old could score only 128 runs in six innings of the six matches he played for India.
Meanwhile, some Indian cricket fans went on to drag his girlfriend and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty while criticizing the Indian cricketer. Now, the actress is once again fallen prey to harsh criticism and trolling from the Indian cricketers as the couple was spotted dining together following India’s embarrassing exit from the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.
They took to Twitter for expressing their angst whereas some of the fans went on urge the Indian cricket Board to stop allowing girlfriends and wives on the major international and important tours of the national cricket team of India.
Here’s how fans lashed out at Athiya Shetty for KL Rahul’s failure:

First of all #BCCI should stop allowing Wives & GFs on Important Tours. Team Bonding should be encouraged Off Field too.

Now, KL Rahul will be seen in action with the Indian cricket team in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh later at the end of this year.
Meanwhile, the men in blue are set to play against New Zealand in the three-match T20I series and three-match ODI series in New Zealand. Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya will lead the Indian team in the T20I series whereas senior southpaw Shikhar Dhawan is set to lead the team in the ODI series against the Kiwis.
Senior players including the likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and former skipper Virat Kohli have been rested from the white-ball assignment against New Zealand. Young players like Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan will be there in the squad to appear for men in blue against Kane Williamson’s men.
Recently, New Zealand was also knocked out of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup at the hands of Babar Azam’s Pakistan in the first semi-final of the tournament.
