Rohit Sharma is currently getting prepared for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 as the tournament is all set to begin on 30 August. However, Team India are currently busy playing the ongoing five-match T20I series in West Indies. Rohit was in action in the recently concluded Test and ODI series. But, he is not a part of the T20I series.

Now, ahead of the Asia Cup, images went viral where the Team India skipper, Rohit was seen visiting Tirupathi Balaji Temple with his family members. His daughter and wife were also together and after seeing that fans shared their views. Meanwhile, Rohit recently opened up about his memories regarding the 2011 ODI World Cup as he was not a part of that winning squad.

As quoted by the Governing Body of Cricket, he said: “2011 was a memorable one for all of us, I remember watching it from home, every single match, every single ball which was being bowled and that was being played. There were two kinds of emotions, one was obviously I was not a part of it, so I was a little disappointed. I decided I was not going to watch the World Cup, but again, the second memory I remember was that India was playing so well, quarter-finals onwards.”       

Rohit also shared the experience he gained from playing in both the 2015 and 2019 editions of the World Cup for the Men in Blue. “And 2015 and 2019, I was a part of it, which felt really good to play the World Cup. We went to the semi-finals, tried everything we could to go to the finals and play well in the finals, but again, a very unfortunate incident where we couldn’t go through to the finals,” the Team India skipper concluded. Speaking of his recent form, he had a good two-match Test series against the Windies as Rohit scored 240 runs in three innings. In the three-match ODI series, he batted only once and scored 12 runs.
