Babar Azam-led Pakistan has made it to the title clash of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup. The men in green have a very shocking journey to the final of the tournament as they were on the verge of an early exit from the tournament following their successive defeats in the first two matches against India and more surprisingly, against the lower-ranked team like Zimbabwe.

But the fortune went in favor of Babar’s men on Sunday, the 6th of November which was also the last day of the super-12 round. Scott Edwards-led lower-ranked Netherlands defeated the mighty South Africans by a margin of 13 runs in an amazing upset. It eventually made a straight way for Pakistan to enter the knockouts of the tournament.

Cut to the first semi-final between Pakistan and New Zealand, the men in green completely outplayed the Kiwis and won the match comfortably by a margin of seven wickets to enter into the final of the 20-20 World Cup for the third time after their previous appearances in 2007 followed 2009.

Meanwhile, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has also talked about the opponent his team would like to face in the battle for the title of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

Here's what Babar opined on the second semi-final between India and England

"We can't say right now which opponent will we be facing in the final. No matter which opponent comes, we will try to give our 100%. We always try to overcome challenges, and a final is bound to have pressure. You enter the final after passing through different phases in a tournament,” said Babar Azam in a post-match presentation following the semi-final against New Zealand.

Contrary to the response from Babar, PCB chief Ramiz Raja happened to take a dig at the people who were continuously criticizing this team for their initial performances in the tournament.
