Pakistan and England are locking horns in the first of the three-match Test series against England. Both teams are playing this match at the National Stadium of Karachi. The visitors have already taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series after winning the Multan Test by a close margin of 26 runs.
The third Test between Pakistan and England has attracted the headlines of social media for the things that have happened off-the-field.
In a recent line of events, a few media reports have learned that the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam denied leading the team on the second day’s first hour in the Karachi Test against the three lions. Reports understood that the 28-year-old was angry about the behavior of security personnel who stopped him and a few other Pakistan players from going outside for a dinner with their families on the weekend night of Saturday.
Here's what reportedly happened on Saturday night
The skipper Babar Azam made a plan to go out of the team hotel with the senior player Sarfaraz Ahmed, Azhar Ali, Shan Masood, and opener Imam-ul-Haq to have dinner at a nearby local restaurant.
But the cricketers of the host team were stopped by saying that a prior clearance and permission would be required to let them go anywhere and their movements both on and off the field.
Furthermore, Babar expressed his anger over the same and had a verbal spat with the senior official before going back to his room in a sulk.
In the same line of events, the media reports close to the Pakistan team learned that Babar denied to come out with the team for the first hour on the second day. He stayed in the dressing room as a sign of protest against the behavior of the security personnel.
Although, any sort of reaction or official statement is awaited from the Pakistan Cricket Board. Meanwhile, another official statement says that Babar denied to come out to lead the team because he had a headache that forced him to stay away from the field in the first hour.
But on the contrary, the inner sources close to the team have learned that the players are not happy with 24-hour security and surveillance around them.
"It is for their own good and Pakistan cricket," a PCB source was quoted as saying regarding the same.
