Axar Patel has opened up on his first thoughts about Rishabh Pant's accident. It has been more than a year since the star cricketer happened to be involved in an unfortunate accident which came as a shock for the Indian fans who were dreaming Pant of achieving new heights in cricket. Along with Pant, Axar has played a lot of cricket for the Indian team and for Delhi Capitals.
It was just a week or so since Indian players had returned home after the tour of Bangladesh. In the tour, Pant played some brillaint cameos with the bat and helped the cause of the Indian team. Ahead of the new year 2023, Pant wanted to surprise his family by visiting them in Dehradun. Hence, the star cricketer had made a surprising plan to drive home himself.
While driving through Delhi-Dehradun highway, Pant sustained a serious accident. Many believed that Rishabh Pant was lucky to be alive. Speaking about hearing the news of Pant for the first time, Axar revealed how his conversation went with his sister who got to know of the news first. "Subah 7 ya 8 baje mere phone pe ring baji. Pratima di ka phone aya," said Axar.

Axar added "Pratima di ne mujhe pucha ki 'Teri Rishabh se kab baat hui thi last?' Mene bola 'Nahi, kal karne wala tha lekin kal nahi ki mene'," added Axar who said that he was about to talk with Pant but had not talked with Pant. He added "'Are uski mummy ka number ho toh mereko send kar, uska accident ho gaya hai'," added the India spinner who revealed his conversation with his sister.
Axar said that his sister asked him to provide the number of Pant's mother as she wanted to call her. When Axar got tpo know about accident, he revealed that he thought Pant was no more. Matlab pehla thought mereko aaya ki ye bhai gaya," added Axar. In an interview recently, the Delhi Capitals cricketer revealed the conversations he had with his sister.
