In 2022, he led Gujarat Titans (GT) to triumph at his maiden attempt. While in the following IPL season, GT lost in the final.
He has led India on several T20I series and registered victories in maximum games. Even, in one One-day international, he also led the team and India won that game also convincingly. Hence, fans are hoping to see him also as the new White-ball captain. Speaking of his career, he has played 74 ODIs and 87 T20Is so far.
