Virat Kohli is currently busy playing in the ongoing IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, he was in action on 10 April at the Chinnaswamy stadium as RCB locked horns with LSG. KL Rahul won the toss and asked RCB to bat first. While batting first, RCB scored 212 runs for two wickets in 20 overs.

Virat Kohli scored 61 runs off 44 balls, including four fours and four sixes. The former RCB skipper had a brilliant start to the game. But, later he struggled and reached fifty on 35 balls. During that innings, the former Kiwi cricketer, Simon Doull accused Kohli of focusing on ‘Personal Milestones’. He claimed that there should be no room for personal milestones in a T20 game.

“Concerned about a milestone.” - Simon Doull on Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli reached 42 runs off 25 balls with four fours and three sixes. But, after that, he scored the next eight runs off 10 balls and that did not go well with Simon Doull. On the air, Doull said: “I get that they bowled better but Kohli started off like a train. He was going hammer and tongs, playing a lot of shots. From 42 to 50, he took 10 balls. Concerned about a milestone. I don’t think there’s room for that in the game anymore. Just got to keep going especially with wickets in hand”.

However, the other commentator was completely silent and did not use a single word. Finally, Virat Kohli scored 61 runs and along with him, Faf du Plessis scored 79* runs off 46 balls. Glenn Maxwell also scored 59 runs off 29 balls. However, it was not the first time when Simon Doull has criticised a star batter for his strike rate issues. In the last season of PSL, he brutally criticised the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. So, seeing him criticising Kohli, fans went berserk and trolled him on social media. Some of them also claimed that the former Kiwi cricketer has no right to troll Kohli.
