The upcoming edition of the Asia Cup is set to start on August 27th. With less than two weeks left at the start of the tournament, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has decided to open the E-Tickets for the fans. The tickets will be available on a website from August 14, according to the ACC. The council took to Twitter and announced the development.

“Ticket sales for Asia Cup 2022 go up for sale on August 15th. Visit the link below from Monday onwards to book your tickets:” ACC tweeted along with the entire schedule of the continental showpiece.

Five teams for the tournament have already been decided. Teams such as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan have already been divided into two groups of three each. However, the sixth team is yet to be determined among the likes of UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

These teams will play a qualification tournament in Oman and only one of them will go ahead. Last time, in 2018, the UAE and Hong Kong were the finalists, and the Red Brigade (HK) qualified for the continental event. Fans might remember how they troubled the eventual tournament winners but ended up losing the game.

Meanwhile, teams such as India and Pakistan are currently preparing for their respective assignments. The Green Brigade will play a three-match ODI series against the Netherlands. The series is part of the World Cup Super League, a tournament to determine the qualification for the team in the 2023 ODI World Cup. They will be looking to clean sweep the Orange Army to solidify their position on the points table.

On the other hand, the Indian team is preparing for the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. For the first time in six years, the Asian team is visiting the Southern African nation. Talking about the T20Is played by Pakistan this year, the Asia Cup will be their second assignment in the shortest format after the one-off T20I against Australia in April.
